Sweet Yeast Doughs with Tangzhong is a hands-on workshop teaching practical skills for baking with regional whole grains.
Instructors Reva Castillenti and Patrick Shaw-Kitch will be sharing techniques and their passion for working with regional grains. In this class, learn how to a make versatile soft yeasted doughs utilizing the Tangzhong method and fresh milled grains for a soft and light dough that stays soft for days. Perfect for cardamom buns, cinnamon rolls, babka, or savory garlic knots.
Class is held at Brooklyn Granary & Mill at 240 Huntington Street, Brooklyn, NY 11231 and runs for about 2.5 hours, from 6:00 to 8:30pm on Monday, June 8. Tickets include class instruction and light snacks and non-alcoholic drink.
Tickets are nonrefundable. If you need to cancel, please give two weeks notice and tickets can be transferred to attend another class within 12 months.
