Seasonal Fruit Pies, Tarts, & Galettes: Short Dough Basics is a hands-on workshop teaching practical skills for baking with regional whole grains.
Instructors Reva Castillenti and Patrick Shaw-Kitch will be sharing techniques and their passion for working with regional grains. Impress your friends with at your next potluck by learning in this class how to make a beautiful seasonal fruit tart with a whole grain sucrée dough. We'll also learn to make a tender and flaky pie crust, and a galette with fresh seasonal vegetables. The perfect time of year to put the bounty of seasonal fruit and vegetables to use!
Class is held at Brooklyn Granary & Mill at 240 Huntington Street, Brooklyn, NY 11231 and runs for about 2.5 hours, from 6:00 to 8:30pm on Monday, June 8. Tickets include class instruction and light snacks and non-alcoholic drink.
Tickets are nonrefundable. If you need to cancel, please give two weeks notice and tickets can be transferred to attend another class within 12 months.
