Learn: Sourdough 101 is a hands-on workshop teaching practical skills for baking with regional whole grains.

Instructors Reva Castillenti and Patrick Shaw-Kitch will be sharing techniques and their passion for working with regional grains. If Taylor Swift can bake sourdough… so can you!
Perfect for beginners, this class demystifies sourdough from starter to loaf. You’ll learn how to keep a starter happy and thriving, mix dough, shape loaves, and score them with confidence. Everyone goes home with a freshly baked loaf and their very own starter. You’ll also receive access to a companion online course filled with videos, resources, and troubleshooting guides to support your baking journey long after class ends.

Class is held at Brooklyn Granary & Mill at 240 Huntington Street, Brooklyn, NY 11231 and runs for about 2.5 hours, from 6:00 to 8:30pm on Saturday, February 7. Tickets include class instruction and light snacks and drink.
