Learn: Grains & Friends is a hands-on workshop teaching practical skills for baking with regional whole grains.
Instructors Reva Castillenti and Patrick Shaw-Kitch will be sharing techniques and their passion for working with regional grains. Cook a delicious meal while supporting regenerative farming. In this hands-on class, you’ll learn how to choose diverse, nutrient-dense grains that sustain both your body and the soil. Together, we’ll prepare a simple yet vibrant dinner featuring grain varieties, plus a wholesome sweet treat to round things out. You’ll leave with practical cooking skills, new grain knowledge, and easy ways to support regenerative agriculture in your everyday kitchen.
Class is held at Brooklyn Granary & Mill at 240 Huntington Street, Brooklyn, NY 11231 and runs for about 2.5 hours, from 6:00 to 8:30pm on Saturday, February 21. Tickets include class instruction and light snacks and drink.
