Seasonal Jam: Making & Baking with Preserves is a hands-on workshop teaching practical skills for making seasonal jam and baking with preserves using regional whole grains.

BGM's Patrick Shaw-Kitch will be joined by Per Se Pastry Chef Gwen Steuart in a class on how to preserve seasonal fruit. Think jams, jellies, pickles, and dehydration. Patrick and Gwen will be sharing techniques and their passion for preserving seasonal fruit and then will demonstrate how to bake and decorate with these preserves year round while using regional whole grains. Perfect for all levels.

Class is held at Brooklyn Granary & Mill at 240 Huntington Street, Brooklyn, NY 11231 and runs for about 2.5 hours, from 6:00 to 8:30pm on Monday, July 13. Tickets include class instruction and light snacks and non-alcoholic drink.
